Ashley Fisher, PTA is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who earned her Associates Degree of Applied Science from East Coast Polytechnic Institute (ECPI) University. Ashley’s interest in Physical Therapy began with visits to the athletic trainer in high school, after sustaining a wrist injury while throwing discus for her track and field team. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Randolph-Macon College before pursuing her PTA degree.
Ashley has volunteered and observed in various Outpatient Physical Therapy settings in both the Northern Virginia and the Richmond area. After completing a rotation in an Outpatient Orthopaedic clinic, where she worked with Post-Operative Total Joint Replacement patients and a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, she was drawn to the “hand on” approach of Manual Therapy. While completing her PTA degree, Ashley worked as a Rehabilitation Technician in an outpatient clinic in Mechanicsville, VA and fine tuned her skills in teaching the correct way to perform exercises for maximal therapeutic benefit. Ashley is thrilled to be a member of the Source Physical Therapy & Wellness team and be able to work closely with an exceptional group of clinicians.
