Dr. Haley Kumar

Dr. Haley Kumar, PT, DPT earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University and her B.S. in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from The College of William and Mary. Prior to working at Source Physical Therapy & Wellness, Haley worked in an inpatient hospital setting, treating patients who had experienced stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, orthopedic surgery, heart conditions, cancer, and spinal cord injury. Her orthopedic inpatient experience includes treating patients following hip and knee replacements, laminectomies, spinal fusions, internal and external fixations, and fractures. During her time working at the inpatient hospital, she worked closely with the medical team to collaborate on patient care in order to maximize patient outcomes and function. Thanks to her experience in complex medical environment, Haley understands how medications and co-existing conditions can impact your care.

Dr. Kumar’s Orthopaedic outpatient experience includes treating patients following surgery (ACL repair, hip, knee, and shoulder replacement, menisectomy, labrum repair, etc.), with pelvic floor dysfunction, and with vestibular disorders. Haley has a special interest in treating patients with vestibular disorders, particularly vertigo. Haley is very excited to be a part of the Source Physical Therapy & Wellness team because of the emphasis on manual therapy and the 1:1 treatment model where each therapist sees one patient at a time. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking with her husband and dog, attending Washington Capitals games, and watching The Office.
